FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I underwent testing with ImPACT, will further testing be performed?
Yes. Impact is only a screening tool. A full Neuropsychological evaluation is needed in order to accurately assess neuroconitive functioning.
How long does testing at your center take?
Please plan on spending 4-5 hours for testing at our center. You will be undergoing a comprehensive examination. Rest breaks will be provided during the day. If more convenient, the assessment can be scheduled over a period of two days. The evaluation is completed during regular business hours.
When will I know my results?
In most cases, results will be available within one-hour of exam completion. Dr. Kutner will review the results with you in detail and answer any questions you may have. If more convenient, athletes can also schedule the post-evaluation session on a subsequent day.
Will I receive a written report?
Yes. A full narrative report will be prepared, which includes test findings and comprehensive recommendations for return-to-play and treatment if needed. This report will typically be completed within 48-hours. A copy of this report can also be sent to your team physician, athletic trainer, or coach if desired.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Please call our office at 754-900-7488. Upon request, Dr. Kutner can speak with you to determine if an evaluation is indicated.
Is my health insurance accepted?
Professional Sports Concussion care is considered an "out-of-network" provider. We are not a member of any insurance plan, but we will assist you in completing insurance forms for you to submit to your provider. The fee for the evaluation is due on the day of testing.
